Problem
Not everyone is educated on how to recycle. While recycling is intended to reduce waste and curb pollution, many recycling processes and industries actually end up contributing significantly to environmental pollution.

Solution
Solution
I designed an application that has answers to the most common recycling questions and educates people on how to recycle properly. RECYCLE. will eliminate confusion and in return decrease the amount of waste and in return help the environment and world.

Target Users
When designing this application I had two types of users in mind, teachers and the average joe. Teachers can use it in their classes as a tool to educate their students, and the average joe can use it to answer quick questions they may have about a specific topic. In the end, I'd like everyone to feel comfortable and that they got useful information after using the application.

Key Features
When designing this application came up with six key features- What?, How?, Where?, Symbols, Articles, and AR Scan.
What?
What?
This feature lists the six main materials you can recycle. Here you will see a fun fact paired with the material along with an illustration. After you select a material, you will be taken to a page that has lots of information in the form of videos, articles, infographics and more.
Where?
This feature can be found at the end of each materials page or in the navigation bar on the left-hand side under 'Where?'. Here you will see a map with the nearest locations where you can recycle, a list of the locations and a filter with each of the materials that you can toggle on and off if you would like to see select materials.
Symbols
Symbols
This feature lists eight symbols that are paired with different recyclable materials. Once the desired card is selected a window will pop up with information on the symbol.

Articles
Articles
This feature is incorporated into each materials page but also can be found in the navigation bar on the left-hand side under 'Articles'. Here you can find articles related to each recyclable material. You can also filter the materials you'd like to see on the top right of the screen.
